  • Congressman: Obama Has Become 'Monty Python Routine'

With Obama determined to issue his long-expected executive order on immigration, the White House fails to appreciate the damage his failed policies continue to inflict on a Democratic Party still reeling from historic midterm losses, according to a Republican congressman.

“It reminds me of the Monty Python routine, ‘The Black Knight,’ who gets his arm chopped off by King Arthur in a sword fight and yet says defiantly, “‘Tis but a scratch,’ and keeps on fighting,” Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, told WND in an interview.

“Then after Arthur chops off other arm, the Black Knights says, ‘Just a flesh wound,’ claiming, ‘I’m invincible.’”

“Somehow, Obama thinks, like the Monty Python routine, that he’s invincible; but the truth is he’s getting chopped apart limb by limb,” Stockman said.

“Even when he’s lost both arms and both legs, the Black Knight remains defiant, shouting to Arthur, ‘I’ll bite your legs off.’ That’s Obama issuing his amnesty executive order in a national address from the Oval Office tonight,” the Texas congressman said.

“He’s down to saying, ‘You Republicans, you come back here and fight, when the truth is Obama’s lost both arms and both legs politically, speaking figuratively.”

Stockman said Obama appears to be in denial that his policies have taken the Democratic Party to a historically low point with voters, as reflected in the gains the GOP made in the midterm elections in state houses and governors’ races as well as in the U.S. House and Senate.

“Listening to Obama, it’s almost like the White House thinks the Democratic Party won the midterm elections,” Stockman observed. “But the reality is that declaring what amounts to amnesty by executive fiat, Barack Obama has turned his back on the middle class white voters that have been the traditional strength of the Democratic Party.”
