We have partnered with Theatrical On Demand film distribution service, GATHR Films, to allow individuals like you the opportunity to organize and promote “MONTY PYTHON - THE MEANING OF LIVE” screenings in movie theaters across the United States.

Simply request a screening and Gathr will coordinate with the theater for you. You won’t have to pay any screening room rental or exhibition fee – all you have to do is promote the film and get people to reserve tickets. Gathr screenings need a minimum number of people to reserve tickets to get the movie booked – to “tip it” - so we need your help to “tip” your screening so that you can bring “MONTY PYTHON - THE MEANING OF LIVE” to your community.

To organise a screening, or to find out if one is being organised at a movie theater near you, simply follow the 3 easy steps listed below the map.

ORGANIZE A SCREENING

Here are 3 easy steps to follow:

1 – Check to see if a screening is already scheduled in your community by entering your city on the map above

2 – If no screening is scheduled for your area, no problem! Simply click “Request a Screening” to sign up to become the host of a new event.

3 – Once your request has been approved, you’ll get an email confirming you as a Captain for the screening and you’ll get a link to help you promote the specifics of your screening.

ATTEND A SCREENING

If you’d rather wait until someone else schedules a screening near you, simply sign up to be notified when they do.

Remember, Gathr screenings can only happen when we reach our ticket goals, so whether you are hosting your own event or supporting another, be sure to get involved and spread the word.

About the Film

This uniquely intimate documentary captures the most anticipated comeback show in comedy, the live reunion shows of Monty Python, “Monty Python Live (mostly) – One Down Five to Go” at The O2, London in July 2014.

As well as following their journey to The O2, this intimate and provocative documentary includes never before seen archive footage from the group’s early live shows, including Live at the Hollywood Bowl in 1980. Also, for the first time, the remaining members of Monty Python (John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones & Michael Palin) open up about their approach to comedy, their worldviews and the tensions within the group. It is a vibrant film that captures the essence of Monty Python and chronicles how this group of diverse talents came together and changed the history of comedy.
